Most Americans have learned from those of earlier generations ever you change your oil every 3,000 miles to make your engine last longer. While this is partly true, the environment suffers greatly from the provision of all the waste oil. We have been in the industry of self-repair for some time and see only very rare motor damage caused by the “old” oil caused.

Some of our customers change their oil every 3,000 miles as recommended by the manuals, but many of them to 5,000 miles or more to wait and use the cheapest oil they can buy. And yet, their engines even longer than 150K miles without failure due to old engine oil. This is just to show that most factory engines to tolerate more extreme conditions of the service. For the most part are often problems with the engine due to overheating, excessive speed, lack of maintenance, abuse, and usually lead to foot.

With a high quality synthetic motor oils today there is no reason or excuse not to pass drain intervals. If each extended their flight by intervals of only 1,000 miles, the reduction of waste oil would be phenomenal. Our global oil consumption in the United States would be enough to reduce it to draw national attention. Fortunately, Mobil has extended a recently introduced its own line of synthetic oils flight, and I expect many others would follow suit in the very near future.
